Thank you Barry Critchley!

Hello Barry,

It’s been a while since I last saw you (back in the days when I was with Gerry Brockelsby and Mal Spooner at Marquest, I believe).

I just wanted to touch-base to THANK YOU SO MUCH for your writing about the Income Trust FIASCO that Flaherty foisted upon us all in “The Halloween Massacre” of October 31st, 2006.

Brent Fullard has done anything and everything to keep this issue alive despite political opposition by both the government and the opposition parties (being of little or, limited) help – to say nothing of the relative silence of (most of) the press and Bay Street, on this issue. Your stepping up-to-the-plate is of invaluable help to this good and just cause and I wanted to commend you for doing so!

Eighteen (18!!!!) pages of “blacked-out” documents from the Ministry of Finance as their “evidence” of so-called “tax leakage” on this disastrous policy is an ABSOLUTE INSULT to ALL Canadians!!! The pressure of good press coverage from dedicated pursuers of the truth by people like you Barry is absolutely essential to getting at the heart of this matter.

THANK YOU for your professional concern on a matter of deep concern to millions of Canadians like me.

With Kind Personal Regards,

Hugh
