Mr. Slithers’ two choices: Marshall Plan or full compensation

Mr. Slithers’ 2006 Election Platform reads: “A Conservative government will stop the Liberal attack on retirement savings and preserve income trusts by not imposing any new taxes on them."

Mr. Slithers set us up, and then ripped us off. He has two choices, either:

Partial Compensation via The Marshall Plan

or

Full Compensation under Slither’s 2006 Election Platform that reads: “Propose an amendment to the Constitution to include the right to own property, as well as guarantee that no person shall be deprived of their just right without the due process of law and full, just, and timely compensation.”

No person shall be deprived of their just right? Thunder Energy Trust was property in my RRSP. Why is Thunder Energy Trust taxed at 31.5% in my RRSP but taxed at 0% when taken private and held as a trust by the 380,000 public civil servants whose gold plated pensions are managed by the Public Sector Pension Plan? How is that just? How is that fair? Why would anyone think the 75% of Canadians without pensions would stand for this gross discrimination and property expropriation by the public servants for the public servants. Where has there been any semblance of “ due process of law and full, just, and timely compensation.”

My advice for Mr. Slither’s is to take the easy route out and pretend the Marshall Plan was his idea in the same way that Al Gore invented the internet.

PS--Pleeeeeeeeeese Jimmy , kick the ego to the curb & do the right thing--we are willing to give you a 6 billion dollar winfall just for the privilege of continuing to own income trusts.

To turn down bucks of this magnitude just to appease your ego will be a gross error in judgement as we need that cash to continue to run our social programs.

Why cut gov`t services if we are willing to fund them for you.
